Hello! We are Michael and Patricia.

Welcome to Smokin' Sowbellies. We started our journey with a simple passion: creating foods that not only taste incredible but are prepared using time-honored, natural processes.

As local residents of Peace River, Alberta, we believe in the magic of fermentation. What began as a love for preserving harvests has blossomed into a small business dedicated to sharing our handcrafted creations with our community.

You won't find our products in giant supermarkets. We prefer the personal connection of the Peace River Farmers Market, where we can share the stories behind our recipes and meet the wonderful people who enjoy our food.

A bold, complex blend of vegetables and traditional spices, slowly fermented to develop a deep, savory, and spicy profile, from mild to spicy. We also developed a heat-free white kimchi for those who are adverse to spicy chilis.
